I was commissioned by Kempinski Summerland Hotel in Beirut to create a sculpture for their new hotel.
I created a sculpture using the Phoenician alphabets to highlight the rich cultural history and the Lebanese ancestry of the sea trading people.
The Phoenicians formed the major naval and trading power of the region.
The “diver” symbolises diving into the sea of that rich history.
